The Schloss Kurhotel Strobl lies in the middle in the heart of Austria: in the beautiful salt chamber property, directly in the place Strobl at the Wolfgangsee, in the midst of a large park including sunbathing area and large heated indoor pool, the lake is 500m in walking distance comfortably and evenly attainable on foot.
The generous plant is put on approximately around the historical castle park with beautiful old tree existence. The castle looks back on an eventful history, which goes back to the year 1533. In the years 2013 - 2015, the historic complex was comprehensively and stylishly renovated and extensively expanded with stylish additions. The house is thus visually and technically state-of-the-art.
In the Schloss Kurhotel itself and in the surrounding area there are numerous sports and leisure activities available to you, such as hiking, Nordic walking and cycling.
The public transport connection is well given by train and bus, the bus station Strobl is only 500m away. Likewise, the Schloss Kurhotel is easily accessible by private car from all directions. Our guests have exclusive use of a large private parking lot, directly adjacent to the castle park.
As our guest you now have the opportunity to enjoy our newly created bathing area including a sunbathing lawn directly at the Wolfgangsee. The fenced in bathing area is exclusively reserved for our guests, is only a few hundred meters away from the Schloss Kurhotel and can be reached comfortably by foot in a few minutes.
Should the sun not shine, or for your bathing pleasure in the morning and evening, our spacious heated indoor pool with a view of our castle park and direct exit to the lawn is at your disposal.
As our guest, you can also relax in our spacious wellness oasis with sauna, steam bath and relaxation room overlooking the park.
For your physical fitness we offer you a separate strength and endurance room with the most modern equipment. When creating these rooms, we deliberately chose a beautiful location with a view of the castle park to offer you a special ambience for your training.

Level walking paths invite you to go hiking or Nordic walking along the Wolfgangsee and the Postalm in oxygen-rich, clean air. In winter there is a well-maintained cross-country skiing trail with a starting point directly in front of the hotel.
It leads along the Wolfgangsee through a wonderful winter landscape. Snowshoeing and skiing is possible in the immediate vicinity, for example on the Postalm, Gosau or Dachstein.
You are welcome to hire your bike free of charge from us. A well-developed and documented network of cycle paths is at your disposal.
Nearby you will find a beautifully situated 18-hole golf course, an indoor tennis hall, several tennis courts and well developed cycle paths. Not to forget the Wolfgangsee, which invites you to take long walks and sports activities in or on the water.
